The Outer Worlds 2 is highly responsive to player actions and isn't shy about making you feel a bit embarrassed. The game’s interactivity shines through numerous moments, including both subtle and overt reactions to your choices.
In my review, I emphasized the game's strong reactivity—whether through early mission interactions that impact later gameplay or crewmates teasing my habit of jumping from heights instead of using stairs. The game consistently acknowledges and responds to what you're doing.
Curious to test the limits, one player chose to strip completely naked and interact with NPCs. The results proved the game’s attention to detail true: several characters commented on the lack of clothing.
“Several early-game NPCs will acknowledge your state of undress.”
Reddit user Glorf_Warlock discovered that characters like Niles, de Vries, and Kaur have unique dialogue triggered by nudity. Testing this personally confirmed that Niles seemed flustered greeting a player in just underwear, while de Vries expressed dissatisfaction having to brief someone so underdressed.
Curiously, in later stages of the game, NPCs stop reacting to your undressed state. By then, it seems the characters have had enough distractions and are focused solely on mission objectives.
“Maybe there are just bigger fish to cry at that point. Everyone is done with the players' crap and just wants to focus on the missions.”
Though the early game features many NPCs who acknowledge your nudity, it's possible even more characters offer reactions at the start, adding depth to the game's immersive experience.
The Outer Worlds 2 cleverly integrates humor and immersion by calling out players who dare to run around naked, especially early in the game.
