“I have no problem singing, but I have to prioritize my health.” Paul Rodgers shares bad news about Bad Company’s upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony

Paul Rodgers Prioritizes Health Over Hall of Fame Performance

Paul Rodgers has announced that he will not attend this weekend’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony due to ongoing health concerns. His absence ends the hope of a partial Bad Company reunion during the event.

Bad Company will be honored as part of the Hall’s class of 2025, marking their first nomination. Other inductees include Oasis, Soundgarden, the White Stripes, and renowned session bassist Carol Kaye.

Fans had anticipated that surviving members Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke would perform together in tribute to their late bandmates Mick Ralphs and Boz Burrell. However, Rodgers' recovery remains his main priority.

“My hope was to be at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and to perform for the fans, but at this time, I have to prioritize my health,”
“I have no problem singing; it's the stress of everything else.”

Rodgers, who co-founded Bad Company following the breakup of Free, has endured multiple strokes in recent years. His condition led to the band’s official retirement in 2023, with their last performance held in 2019 when they supported Lynyrd Skynyrd in Las Vegas.
