Jetstar to Connect Sunshine Coast with Bali and Singapore
Starting March 2026, Jetstar will operate flights from the Sunshine Coast to Denpasar three times weekly using its A321neo LR aircraft. This addition will provide over 70,000 extra seats annually and offer onward connections to Singapore.
New International Service Launch
Jetstar is set to launch a new route from the Sunshine Coast to Singapore via Bali next year. Stephanie Tully, Jetstar's chief executive, said:
“We’re proud to be the first airline to connect the Sunshine Coast to Bali and Singapore. It’s a great win for travellers wanting an easy international getaway.”
She highlighted that direct flights to Bali allow travellers to swap long road transfers to Brisbane for more time enjoying the island’s unique attractions. Tully added that Jetstar is the largest carrier in South-East Queensland and plans to expand the network in response to strong demand for low fares.
Jetstar’s Growing Presence in Queensland
This new route marks Jetstar’s tenth direct flight between Australia and Bali and its fourth from Queensland, following the Gold Coast–Denpasar service launched earlier this year.
Sunshine Coast Regional Impact
Chris Mills, chief executive of Sunshine Coast Airport, described the service as a “game changer” for the region:
“For the first time, locals can fly direct to Bali for an island holiday. Our research shows that this is a highly sought after destination for locals.”
The flight continues from Bali to Singapore, which is described as a global hub, enhancing travel options for residents.
