The land was illegally occupied by Ashok Singh, who constructed sheds and leased them to idol manufacturers for commercial use.

The government land was exploited for commercial use, but it has now been secured for public housing.

Hycollector Dasari Hari Chandanagar had requested HYDRAA to safeguard the land for public use, leading to the successful reclaiming operation.
