Alberta Introduces New Licence Plates
Alberta has announced plans to upgrade its current licence plates to ones featuring the motto "strong and free."
Premier Danielle Smith and Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction Minister Dale Nally revealed the plan at a press conference, stating that Albertans can participate in an online vote to choose the final design.
There will be eight designs to choose from, each displaying unique Alberta landscapes and symbols.
- The transition cost is estimated to be between $25,000 to $50,000.
- The online vote will be held in a "tournament-style" format.
