Isabella High School qualified for regionals in Montgomery by making it to the Class 2A Area 6 Tournament championship.
They started the tournament by beating Greene County High School 3-0, with scores of 25-17 in the second set and 25-4 in the third set.
“There were just a couple of mental mistakes in the second set,” said Isabella head coach Kacie Adams.
Isabella then played against Tuscaloosa Academy, the No. 1 seed, and struggled mentally, according to Coach Adams.
“We played a really good game against Greene County, then kind of struggled against Tuscaloosa Academy mentally,” said Adams.
“It’s very rewarding and humbling to be there; we appreciate the opportunity to play (in the area tournament),” said Adams.
