Film Review: Black Phone 2 (2025)
A horror sequel directed by Scott Derrickson, written by Joe Hill, Scott Derrickson, and C. Robert Cargill, starring Ethan Hawke, suffers due to too few scenes featuring Ethan Hawke's "The Grabber".
The movie features a cast including Mason Thames, Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, and others. Scott Derrickson, who over a decade ago directed the masterpiece Sinister, one of the best horror movies of all time, fails to deliver in this new sequel to The Black Phone.
The Black Phone 2 suffers from a lack of focus and a series of needless scenes that go on way past their welcome.
