RSF appeals to Israeli Supreme Court against media blackout imposed on Gaza

RSF Appeals to Israeli Supreme Court

Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has joined the Foreign Press Association (FPA) in Jerusalem in a petition to the Israeli Supreme Court to open the Gaza Strip to journalists, who have been denied independent access since October 2023.

Ahead of a first hearing scheduled for 23 October, RSF filed an amicus brief with the Supreme Court on 15 October, presenting facts and legal arguments in support of the FPA position that Israel is violating press freedom and the right to information about Gaza.

Our goal: to leave no breach of freedom of information unreported.

RSF publishes a world press freedom ranking, investigation reports, and daily publications from its regional offices and network of correspondents in 115 countries.

Author's summary: RSF appeals to Israeli Supreme Court for media access to Gaza.
