Grand Haven residents will make important decisions in the upcoming election, including a public safety millage and multiple local offices.
A public safety millage is on the ballot, which would generate $15-16 million over 10 years to upgrade facilities and equipment for the Grand Haven Department of Public Safety.
"Every election in my opinion, local election is important. This year especially is a big one,"
said Grand Haven City Clerk Maria Boersma. The millage would cost a $250,000 household an additional $250 annually in property taxes.
