Tim David smashed the longest six in T20 International history, helping Australia post a strong total of 186 runs during the third T20 against India in Hobart on Sunday night.
After early dismissals of Travis Head and Josh Inglis in Hobart, Tim David arrived at the crease and attacked India’s bowlers relentlessly. He quickly reached a 23-ball half-century, dominating the innings.
David hit Indian spinner Axar Patel for a massive six down the ground that was estimated to have traveled 129 metres. The ball nearly cleared the stadium, striking the Ninja Stadium sign atop the David Boon Stand.
“That’s coming into the commentary box! It was nearly in the Derwent (River)!" — Mark Howard, Fox Cricket commentator
This 129-metre six is recognized as the longest ever recorded in T20 internationals and the biggest six documented by Fox Cricket.
