Bo Nix threw a touchdown pass as the Denver Broncos extended their NFL winning streak to seven games by narrowly defeating the Las Vegas Raiders 10-7 on Thursday.
The defense-led win improved Denver’s league-best record to 8-2 and expanded their lead over the Los Angeles Chargers (6-3) at the top of the AFC West. This is Denver’s longest winning streak since 2015.
The Broncos' defense was exceptional, recording six sacks and one interception. They remain undefeated at home this season (5-0) and have now won 10 straight games at Mile High Stadium, a feat matched only by Indianapolis for an unbeaten home record this year.
“We have a really good defense and they showed up again tonight,” Nix said. “We didn't give them the best of fields at times but they still made plays and kept them out of field goal range. They keep winning games for us and getting us the ball back and at some point we have to return the favor.”
Due to a bye week, the Broncos will not play again for 23 days. Their next game is a home match on November 16 against division rival Kansas City Chiefs (5-4).
“We've got a lot of work to do,” Nix admitted. “But we're winning and that's all that matters.”
The Broncos continue to solidify their position as favorites in the AFC West through strong defense and key plays on offense.
