The Boston Bruins enter Thursday night’s matchup against the Ottawa Senators on a four-game winning streak, their longest this season. After enduring a tough stretch that included six consecutive losses and seven defeats in eight games, the team rebounded with a shootout win over the Islanders, pushing their record back above .500.
“It shows the character in our room,” coach Marco Sturm said after Boston rallied from three separate one-goal deficits. “We made some mistakes, but I’m glad we came back and won the game.”
Thursday's game will also mark the return of goaltender Linus Ullmark, who won the Vezina Trophy in 2023 with Boston and now plays for Ottawa. The Senators will again be without captain Brady Tkachuk, who is expected to miss about six more weeks following thumb ligament surgery.
Boston looks to extend its winning streak to five as it hosts Ottawa, facing ex-teammate Ullmark and an injury-depleted Senators squad.
