Free Transit for Veterans on Remembrance Day

In recognition of their service and sacrifice, TransLink will offer free transit to veterans and active military personnel on Remembrance Day, Tuesday, November 11.

Eligible Customers

Free transit is available to veterans, active members of the Canadian Armed Forces, police and fire personnel, Canadian Coast Guard members, officers from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans, and BC Ambulance Service personnel.

These individuals must present their badge, military ID, Veteran’s Service Card, or be in uniform to access the free transit service.

National Indigenous Veterans Day Recognition

TransLink will also honour National Indigenous Veterans Day on Saturday, November 8, acknowledging the sacrifices of Indigenous veterans and their important role in global peace and security.

Community Support

The Royal Canadian Legion will distribute poppies by donation at various transit hubs across Metro Vancouver.

Customers are encouraged to use transit to attend Remembrance Day ceremonies throughout the region.
