David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown have always portrayed a turbulent relationship onscreen in Netflix's hit series Stranger Things. However, new reports reveal off-screen tensions.
The Mail on Sunday disclosed that Harbour, 50, faced serious accusations of bullying and harassing Millie Bobby Brown during the filming of the show. Brown, the British actress who plays Eleven, reportedly filed a formal complaint before the latest season's production began.
“Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.”
An internal inquiry was launched into Harbour's behavior, but no sexual misconduct allegations were made public.
Alongside these claims, Harbour is also accused of cheating on his estranged wife, singer-songwriter Lily Allen. Despite these challenges, Allen reportedly remained supportive throughout the difficult period.
“Lily supported him throughout it all. It was a brutal time.”
Netflix has declined to comment on any investigations related to these allegations.
Harbour plays Jim Hopper, the ex-police chief who adopts Eleven in the series, which is set to release its fifth and final season soon.
