Chicago enjoyed another beautiful fall day with mostly sunny skies and temperatures reaching the low to mid-60s. This is about 5 to 10 degrees above the average high of 54°F for November 4.
Fox 32 Chief Meteorologist Emily Wahls shared the latest forecast details.
Tonight will be mostly clear, mild, and breezy, with southwest winds increasing to 10-20 mph and gusts up to 25 mph. Lows will drop only to the lower 50s.
Wednesday will be partly cloudy and windy, with highs in the upper 50s. Winds will shift to the west-northwest and gust up to 30-35 mph.
More clouds will move in Thursday, with rain showers expected late Thursday night into Friday. Daytime highs will reach the mid to upper 50s on Thursday.
Friday will start rainy but will dry out through the day, with temperatures warming to the low to mid 60s.
Following the cold front late this week, temperatures on Saturday will peak near 50°F with scattered rain showers expected. Cooler air moving in raises the possibility of rain mixing with snow.
Sunday and Monday will be noticeably colder, with highs near 40°F on Sunday and in the upper 30s on Monday.
Fox 32 Chief Meteorologist Emily Wahls said, "Temperatures will be warm in the low to mid 60s but soak it up! We're in for a big drop this weekend."
Summary: Chicago experiences a warm start to the week with mostly sunny skies, followed by rain late Thursday into Friday, then a strong cold front bringing much cooler temperatures and possible snow mixes over the weekend.
