Sega has confirmed the resolution and performance details for Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds on Nintendo Switch 2. The game originally launched in September across PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and the original Nintendo Switch platforms, even reaching PS4 and Xbox One. However, the dedicated Switch 2 edition faced a delay until later in the year.
The digital version of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds will be available for Nintendo Switch 2 on at a price of £64.99 / $69.99. A physical edition is planned for early 2026, featuring the complete game on a 64GB cartridge, though an exact release date has yet to be announced.
Players who already own the original Switch version can upgrade to the Switch 2 edition for £10 / $10, with full save data transfer supported. For the first week, from until , the upgrade pack will be available at a discounted price of £5 / $5.
Unlike past releases, there will be no Digital Deluxe edition for the Switch 2 version. To unlock extra character DLC, players must own both the original Switch title and the Switch 2 Upgrade Pack. Alternatively, those purchasing the Switch 2 version directly can access extra content through a Season Pass available on Nintendo Switch.
