The National Weather Service has issued an updated high surf advisory in effect until 10 p.m. for the South Central Oregon Coast.
Forecasters expect large breaking waves ranging from 20 to 25 feet in height.
Stay away from the surf zone and off of jetties. Area beaches may become hazardous due to dangerous surf conditions.
Residents and visitors are urged to avoid the surf zone to prevent accidents.
