Claire Elise Boucher, known as Grimes, musician and former partner of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, expressed concern about artificial intelligence and its impact on children.
"The biggest imminent threat is just outsourcing thinking."
She warns about how reliance on AI, such as the technology embedded in Musk’s social media platform X, could harm young minds.
"I'm tired of experimenting on kids you know, smoking, MacDonalds and now we're gonna do it with this?"
She highlighted ongoing worries about children’s exposure to harmful influences and now AI.
Despite her apprehensions, Grimes also anticipates advances in AI with a cautious optimism:
"In some ways I can't wait for superintelligence - in some ways I can't wait. It's not as easy since I've had kids."
Grimes underscores the risks AI poses to children’s development while expressing a guarded hope for future AI breakthroughs.
