Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 126-110 victory over the Chicago Bulls, scoring a season-high 41 points along with 15 rebounds and nine assists. His performance handed the Bulls their second loss this season and evened their NBA Cup record at 1-1.
Both teams have shown strong offensive pace this season, with the Bulls averaging 120.4 points per game, slightly ahead of the Bucks’ 119.9 points. However, the key difference remains the presence of Giannis Antetokounmpo, a perennial MVP candidate who consistently elevates the Bucks.
Antetokounmpo scored 19 points in the final quarter, overwhelming the Bulls during crunch time.
“He’s just a handful with the way he plays,” said Bulls head coach Billy Donovan. “I’ve got great respect for his motor, intensity and the way he competes, but you’re going to have to, at a certain point, match force with force. He without question in the fourth quarter overwhelmed us.”
Isaac Okoro, tasked with guarding Antetokounmpo early on, quickly encountered foul trouble, forcing other Bulls big men to step in. Okoro remarked on Giannis’s aggressive style:
“He just started going at us one-on-one, and when he sees space, he’s going to attack it.”
While the Bulls match the Bucks in pace and shooting, Giannis Antetokounmpo’s exceptional skill and relentless competitiveness remain a decisive advantage in their matchups.
