Mail service to Canada will resume next week

Mail Service to Canada Resumes Next Week

Mail shipments from Bermuda to Canada are scheduled to restart next week despite the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. The Bermuda Post Office (BPO) confirmed that mail services to Canada will resume on Monday, but delays in delivery might still occur due to continued disruptions.

“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”

Mail delivery to Canada had been suspended since late September because of a nationwide strike by the Canadian Union of Postal Workers. Recently, the union shifted from a complete national strike to a rotating strike, allowing mail services to gradually resume.

Local Post Office Closure Announcement

Additionally, the Bermuda Post Office has announced that all local branches will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.

“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
