Jetstar has announced its largest expansion to date from Melbourne Avalon Airport, introducing new international flights to Bali, resuming links to Adelaide, and increasing services to Brisbane.
This development will provide over 330,000 additional low-fare seats annually through Melbourne’s secondary airport, enabling more travelers to explore new destinations and drawing visitors that boost Victoria’s tourism and economy.
The Bali route marks Jetstar’s first international service departing from Melbourne Avalon, establishing a significant milestone for the airport’s main carrier.
“Starting on 23 March 2026, Jetstar will operate five return flights weekly between Melbourne Avalon and Bali (Denpasar),”
These flights will use Jetstar’s modern Airbus A321LR aircraft, offering travelers more than 120,000 seats a year on this popular leisure route. The direct journey will take just over six hours, providing a convenient gateway for residents of Melbourne, Geelong, the Surf Coast, and the Bellarine Peninsula to experience Bali’s beaches and culture.
To celebrate the expansion, Jetstar is running a 48-hour sale from midday today, with domestic fares starting at $29 and Bali flights from $199.
Jetstar’s major expansion at Avalon Airport introduces new Bali and Adelaide routes, adding hundreds of thousands of low-cost seats and enhancing Victoria’s travel accessibility.
