NewJeans Members to Return to ADOR Following Court Case Loss ‘After Thoughtful Consideration’

NewJeans Members to Resume Activities with ADOR After Court Ruling

Following the loss of their court case to terminate their contracts, NewJeans members Haerin and Hyein have decided to return to the HYBE subsidiary ADOR after careful consultation with their families. The label confirmed their decision in a statement to Billboard, emphasizing the members' respect for the court’s ruling and their commitment to fulfill their exclusive contracts.

“The two members have decided to respect the court’s latest ruling and adhere to their exclusive contract with the label,” ADOR stated. “ADOR is committed to providing its full support to HAERIN and HYEIN to ensure the seamless continuation of their artistic endeavors.”

The company also requested fans to offer warm support and avoid baseless speculation about the members.

Other Members’ Status

Reports indicate that the remaining members—Minji, Hanni, and Danielle—have likewise agreed to continue working with ADOR. Billboard has reached out to HYBE for official comments regarding their status.

Background

This agreement follows the initial announcement by NewJeans members a year ago of their intent to leave ADOR and pursue independent music activities. They claimed the label had breached contract terms by dismissing their mentor, former CEO Min Hee-jin.

Company's Message to Fans
“We request the warm support from the fans and respectfully urge you to avoid engaging in unfounded speculation regarding the members,” ADOR added.

Despite the dispute, NewJeans and ADOR will continue their collaboration, aiming to support the group’s ongoing artistic projects.

Summary: After losing their legal fight to terminate contracts, NewJeans members have chosen to remain with ADOR, emphasizing respect for the ruling and focusing on future artistic activities.
