Sony is expanding its official PS5 accessory lineup with a new PlayStation-branded gaming monitor that includes a built-in charger for the DualSense wireless controller.
The monitor features a "charging hook" located below the screen that flips down from behind the display to hold and charge the PS5 controller. It can be folded away when not in use for a clean look.
Both the original PS5 DualSense controller and the DualSense Edge model are compatible, balancing on the hook similarly to Sony's official PS5 Charging Station.
Sony plans to launch the monitor in 2026 in the United States and Japan. An exact release date for the Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, announced in September, remains unconfirmed but they might launch alongside the monitor.
"You can flip around a charging hook at the bottom of your screen to attach your DualSense wireless controller."
"The original PS5 controller and the DualSense Edge are also compatible, balancing on top of the hook in a similar way to Sony's official PS5 Charging Station accessory."
Author’s summary: Sony’s upcoming PlayStation monitor integrates a convenient controller charging hook, high refresh rates, and rich connectivity, aiming for release in 2026 across key markets.
