Introduction of e-Courts System in Iredell County
Judicial officials have welcomed the launch of the new e-Courts system in Iredell County, North Carolina.
"This is an exciting, historic day,"
stated North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul Newby during the rollout ceremony at the Iredell County Hall of Justice.
The e-Courts system, part of the Judicial Branch, modernizes the state's court system by transitioning from paper to digital and cloud-based technologies.
- Iredell County is among the last of the 100 counties to adopt the new system.
- The upgrades will provide the public with 24-hour remote access to court records and other applications, according to Iredell Clerk of Court Jim Mixson.
