SMU Honors 2025 Distinguished Alumni, Emerging Leader
The event, hosted by SMU president Jay Hartzell and the SMU Alumni Board, recognizes leaders for their extraordinary achievements, outstanding character and good citizenship each year during Homecoming Week.
SMU will honor five outstanding leaders in various fields at 7 p.m. on April 30, at SMU’s Distinguished Alumni Award presentation and dinner.
The 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients are:
- Rev. Rasmussen ’04, senior minister at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas
- Suzanne S. Youngkin ’89, first lady of the commonwealth of Virginia
- David S. Huntley ’80, retired senior executive vice president and chief compliance officer for AT&T Inc.
- Trevor D. Rees-Jones ’78, founder and CEO of Chief Oil & Gas, LLC and Rees-Jones Holdings, LLC
This award is the highest honor the University can bestow upon its graduates.
