Tedeschi Trucks Band and Gov't Mule Concert in Macon
Over the weekend, Tedeschi Trucks Band performed in the South, with the first of two nights held at Atrium Health Amphitheatre in Macon, Ga.
The concert featured an opening set by Gov't Mule, led by Warren Haynes, who is also a former member of the Allman Brothers Band.
- Gov't Mule's set included originals and covers, such as Prince's "When Doves Cry" woven into "Beautifully Broken".
- George Porter Jr., a New Orleans great, joined Gov't Mule on stage, playing bass on several songs, including The Meters' "Just Kissed My Baby".
Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks traded Allman Brothers Band tributes during the concert.
