Sixers Sign MarJon Beauchamp and Waive Emoni Bates
The Philadelphia Sixers made a preseason addition by signing former first-round pick MarJon Beauchamp to an Exhibit 10 deal.
Beauchamp, a defensive-minded wing, was recently waived by the Portland Trail Blazers. Throughout his three-year career, he has averaged 4.1 points on 43.0 percent shooting, along with 1.9 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game across 135 career games (12 starts) with teams including the Milwaukee Bucks, LA Clippers, and New York Knicks.
As part of the signing, the Sixers waived Emoni Bates in a corresponding move. According to sources, Beauchamp is expected to be waived before the season starts and will likely join the Delaware Blue Coats, Philadelphia's G League affiliate.
