Solomon Named Big South Preseason Player of the Year

UNC Asheville's Toyaz Solomon has been named the Preseason Player of the Year by the Big South Conference.

Solomon was the only Bulldog to start all 32 games last season, averaging 15.7 points per game, with a field goal percentage of .610, 7.2 rebounds per game, and 51 blocked shots.

Logging 1,001 total minutes—a team-high 31.3 per contest—Solomon delivered career-best outings throughout the year.

Solomon had notable performances, including 24 points against North Florida, 15 rebounds at Central Arkansas, six assists versus Longwood, and six blocks against UNCW.
