Falkirk Seeks Public Input on Future Development
Falkirk Council has initiated the next phase of the Local Development Plan (LDP3) and is soliciting feedback from residents on their priorities for towns, villages, and neighborhoods.
The proposed plan will serve as a blueprint for land usage, determining the locations of homes and businesses, service support, transportation, and the protection and enhancement of green spaces.
- Building on the earlier 'Tell us about your place?' survey and 'Call for Sites and Ideas' from landowners, businesses, and communities, this stage of consultation, 'How should our places grow?', focuses on local people's priorities.
- These priorities will directly shape the draft plan, scheduled for release in 2026.
- Once adopted, the LDP3 will guide planning decisions for developments across the entire Council area from 2028 to 2038 and beyond.
The survey is open until Friday, 21 November 2025.
