Concerns over Inhumane Treatment during Deportations
A Nigerian man described his experience of being deported by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers in September.
He and other detainees were woken up in the middle of the night, shackled, and told they were being sent to Ghana, despite none of them being from there.
- ICE officers refused to let them speak to their attorney.
- The already-shackled men were then put in full-body restraint suits called the WRAP.
