Facebook Marketplace Deal Turns into Theft
Police are warning the public after a Facebook Marketplace transaction turned into a theft in Paris.
A resident of Flagg Avenue had listed a green iPhone 15 for sale on the marketplace feature of the social media app. A buyer, with the profile name of Kirtoura Jones, agreed to buy the phone for $650 and arranged to meet at about 6:30 p.m.
During the meeting, a white compact vehicle pulled into the driveway, interacted with the man, and then reversed out, heading west on Flagg Avenue. The suspect then ran off in the same direction with the iPhone.
- The suspect is described as being black, about six feet tall, with a slim build and black curly hair.
