Sweden's Government Proposes Defence Spending Growth
Sweden's government presented its budget bill to the parliament on 22 September, including a proposed defence budget for 2026.
The bill outlines additional funding for defence:
- SEK12.15 billion (USD1.3 billion) in 2026
- SEK16.21 billion in 2027
- SEK18.07 billion in 2028
It also includes proposed support to Ukraine:
