Rookie sensation Ivan Demidov had a goal and two assists, leading the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-3 win over the Vancouver Canucks.

- Forward Elias Pettersson, Jake DeBrusk, and Conor Garland scored for Vancouver.
Pettersson opened the scoring 4:42 into the first period, converting a nice return pass from Filip Hronek for his second goal of the season.
