Ventura Harbor Hosts Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest
The Ventura Harbor recently hosted a Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest, where approximately 60 dogs participated.

- Other winners and runners-up: Swift and Kelce, Nonviolent Protesters, Jane Goodall, The Headless Horseman, and The Invisible Man
"We enjoy coming out every year and try something different and we like planning and you know the excitement of being here,"
said Best of Show winner Heather, owner of Sheepadoodle Hadley. Judges favored homemade costumes worn by dogs and their handlers.
"It is really great, I put a lot of effort into this costume and it prevailed,"
said John of Port Hueneme, whose dog Jet won as the Headless Horseman. Samantha Gonzalez of Oxnard created costumes for The Invisible Man and dog, a 2-year-old rescue from the Camarillo Animal Shelter.
