Water Rescue in Pismo Beach
CAL FIRE SLO crews responded to a water rescue in Pismo Beach near Price Street at 12:30 p.m.
Crews conducted a full surf rescue and pulled the person to safety at Port St. Luis, then began CPR procedures before transporting them via ambulance.
- CAL FIRE SLO crews received assistance from a CHP helicopter.
- Port San Luis Harbor Patrol, Pismo Beach Fire, and the SLO County USAR Team also provided help.
CAL FIRE SLO reminds people that high surf and unsafe conditions can be dangerous and to keep a safe distance from the shoreline.
