Adelaide Councillor to Apologize for Breach of Local Government Act
Adelaide City Councillor Mary Couros will issue a public apology in a council meeting after an Ombudsman report found she attempted to influence an agenda item with a conflict of interest.
The report, conducted by SA Ombudsman Emily Strickland, found Councillor Couros' actions constituted
“an intentional and serious breach of the integrity provisions of the Local Government Act”regarding a council meeting on 28 May 2024.
