The San Jose Sharks were on the verge of another collapse, but Macklin Celebrini helped secure a 6-5 OT victory.
Despite dominating the first period, the Sharks allowed the opposing team to catch up. A high-sticking penalty by Vincent Iorio led to a power play goal by Marcus Johansson, and an unforced error resulted in a 2-on-1 goal by Marco Rossi.
“That was our own doing,” said San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky. “That’s one big lesson.”
The same pattern repeated in the third period, but the Sharks managed to regain their lead. Author's summary: Sharks win 6-5 in OT.
