IEA Forecasts Record LNG Growth

The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts a record surge in new liquefied natural gas production capacity by 2030, transforming gas market dynamics.

According to the IEA's "Gas 2025" medium-term outlook report, 300 billion cubic meters per year of LNG export capacity will be added by 2030, mainly in the US and Qatar.

Barring unexpected disruptions, this is forecast to result in lower prices in the years ahead and spur higher demand.

This increase in supply is expected to lead to a net LNG supply growth of 250 billion cubic meters per year by 2030, enhancing global supply security and easing market pressure.
