Zambia has launched the malaria vaccine R21/Matrix-M to protect over 500,000 children aged 6-8 months.

The Ministry of Health presented the Costed Primary Health Care Strategy 2025-2031 and its Operational Plan. Malaria is a leading cause of illness and death in Zambia, particularly among children under five.

The Government of the Republic of Zambia, through the Ministry of Health, today officially launched the malaria vaccine.
