Anthony Edwards, one of the most durable superstars in the NBA, has been diagnosed with a right hamstring strain.
Initial reports from ESPN suggested that Edwards would miss two weeks due to the injury.
“I think he’ll be alright,” teammate Naz Reid said. “We’ve seen him do that plenty of times before.”
However, an MRI scan revealed the extent of the injury, and Minnesota announced that Edwards will be re-evaluated in a week.
A one-week absence would result in three to four missed games, though it's unlikely Edwards will return to action that quickly.
