Lowell's Matthew Casey Named MVC Division 2 Player of the Year in Golf
Lowell High junior golf standout Matthew Casey has been named the Merrimack Valley Conference's Division 2 Player of the Year.
Sharing the Division 1 honor were Tommy Murphy of Haverhill and Harry Garland of Central Catholic.
Jim Sullivan of Tewksbury earned the Division 2 Coach of the Year award, while Central Catholic's Eric Boucher received the Division 1 award.
First-team all-conference selections from area schools included:
- Junior Jake Cataldo and junior Colin Kennedy of Billerica
- Senior Jacob Carlson and junior Jake Damiani-Lessard of Chelmsford
- Senior Ricky Pacheco of Tewksbury
