Georgia Lawmaker Steps Down
A state representative is stepping down, creating another vacancy in the General Assembly.
Marcus Wiedower, a Republican from Watkinsville, announced his resignation after six years in the House. He cited the rapid growth of his company, which will require more travel and take him away from the Capitol during the legislative session.
