Fire crews made quick work of first-alarm fire in Westminster
Westminster Fire Department responded to a first-alarm fire at a two-story residence on Kurn Hattin Road on Tuesday evening.
Upon arrival, firefighters entered a heavily smoke-filled basement and stretched a hose line, while conducting a primary search on the first floor.
Fire was showing on the left side in zero visibility conditions, and the crew made a quick knockdown.
- Additional companies arrived, and crews worked on a search on all floors.
- The residents had evacuated, but firefighters rescued two cats.
- No injuries were reported, and the family was checked by EMS.
The cause of the fire appears to be electrical.
