Richmonders Campaign for 'Yes' Vote on Prop 50
Richmond City Councilmember Doria Robinson led an effort to promote a "yes" vote on Proposition 50, which seeks to authorize changes to Congressional district maps in response to Texas' partisan redistricting.
“People can finally stop talking about how upset they are,” Robinson said, referring to many Democrats' feelings about President Donald Trump. “This is the most effective thing Democrats have done recently. We need a forward vision,”
Volunteers went door-knocking to convince people to vote in the special election, distributing lawn signs, tote bags, and voter handouts with the message "VOTE YES ON 50."
