Blast from the Past: Fayetteville-Area Commercials from the '80s
Do you recall old commercials from Fayetteville's TV station or find yourself reminiscing about local programming from years ago?
A while back, a YouTube channel called ntropolis: news & nostalgia began sharing '80s-era commercials from the area, evoking nostalgia in many.
The channel has posted over 1,000 videos of vintage TV broadcasts from stations in the Carolinas, Virginia, and elsewhere, including WKFT in Fayetteville.
I began collecting recordings of local broadcast television in 2003 when I stumbled upon some VHS tapes in my family's home. It was then I became fascinated with these windows to the past, and ever since, I've obtained hours worth of local TV presentation through the years.
In October, the channel added four compilation videos of commercials and news clips that aired on WKFT in 1983.
