Bruce County Museum Marks Remembrance Day
Bruce County Museum and Cultural Centre welcomes historian and author Ted Barris to mark Remembrance Day on Nov. 8.
To celebrate the 85th anniversary of the Battle of Britain, Barris will explore the significant contributions of Canadian airmen during the Second World War.
- 47 squadrons had Canadian servicemen
- 20 pilots were lost in action
- 12 received the Distinguished Flying Cross for their courage
Barris will highlight the extraordinary bravery of Canadian flyers who helped defend England during 113 harrowing days in 1940.
