A house fire in Zevenhoven, Zuid-Holland, resulted in one fatality early Sunday morning, as reported by De Telegraaf.
Fire crews discovered the victim inside the home on Dorpsstraat shortly after the blaze broke out, according to the regional safety authority. Despite resuscitation efforts and treatment by ambulance personnel, the person did not survive.
Neighbors were evacuated as a precaution, and residents were given shelter in a nearby church. The fire was extinguished around 3:40 a.m.
