Highlands sophomore goalkeeper Bailee Class played a crucial role in her team's advancement to the girls high school soccer state tournament. Although she couldn't secure another shutout, Class converted a penalty kick to win a state semifinal shootout against Central Hardin, 2-1.
The match took place on Wednesday at Lexington Dunbar. Class made saves on two Central Hardin kicks before taking her winning shot, which went off the opposing goalkeeper's fingertips and into the net, securing a 4-2 tiebreaker victory.
