AMD Discontinues Game Optimizations for Radeon RX 6000 & 5000 Series
AMD has surprisingly stopped providing game optimizations for its Radeon RX 6000 and 5000 Series graphics cards, instead focusing on its newer products.
The decision affects owners of older cards, which are only four and six years old, respectively. Despite being relatively recent, these cards will no longer receive the same level of support as the newer Radeon RX 9000 and 7000 Series.
- Radeon RX 5000 Series and 6000 Series cards are still compatible with the latest Radeon drivers, Adrenalin Edition 25.10.2.
- Nvidia's GeForce RTX 20 and 30 Series, which were released around the same time, continue to receive full support.
Graphics cards don’t last forever, and time may be running out for both Radeon RX 6000 and 5000 Series.
