Brazil's Export Portfolio to Include Biofuels
Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva met with Be8 CEO Erasmo Carlos Battistella and Mercedes-Benz Brazil and Latin America President Denis Güven to discuss promoting research and adding biofuels to Brazil's export agenda.
The meeting at the Planalto presidential palace included the introduction of the COP30 Sustainable Route trucks and buses, which use Be8 BeVant biofuel, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 99 percent compared to fossil diesel.
- Be8's new biofuel is being tested in Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
- Two other vehicles running on B15 diesel (a blend of 15-percent biodiesel and diesel) are being tested for comparison.
The purpose of the strategy is to test Be8’s new biofuel in Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
